unfortunately yes....they jumped on the obvious stuff...when almost the entire set was like: come on people!! you don't want to jump? fine, i don't always always do that myself(i don't pogo i am scared of that, for example) and not cos i don't like the songs, you know that...it depends on the personality too in a way... but sing along, support, how can you not do that???? it's too involving!! apart from those reflective, intimate moments when you get those marvellous tracks, some of my very faves, like "just a state of mind" or "all over me" or "girl done gone", which gave me the thrills....it was too powerful a gig not to react!! too powerful in every sense...emotionally and sonically....i went mad during "i don't wanna go out", i knew it would have been tremendously strong.
they were not receptive, no...it also looked as if many of them were actually there mainly for dirty pretty things. By the way, i expected graham and carl to do something together, dunno why...i felt it...but it didn't happen. i do blame the milanese crowd in general cos they are a bit like that (and if they come here and kick my arse, i don't care cos this is true, with some due exceptions of course, as usual), but i mainly blame mtv...i think lots of people, proper fans too, got discouraged. i nearly did. up to sunday i didn't know whether or not i would have gone to milan. didn't know what to do.

That sounds so strange and unusual. It'd have gotten me down!

Sad

the crowd in paris was a little subdued too.. apart from the forum peeps and the people standing around them the rest of the crowd stood silently still.. shame about milan alex.. the paris gig was fucked up too cos it was under-sold.. confusion about capacity or something.. we bought tickets on the way in and to be honest that is criminal.. how any coxon gig can not sell out weeks in advance is beyond my comprehension..

'i don't wanna go out' blew me right away when i heard it on the radio for the first time.it kindda draw my attention to Graham's music.i won't be original to say that the shouty bit at the end is just 'oh gosh!'
gets me everytime.

ltais was i think the first album that got some genuine radio play here in Poland...in alternative auditions of the public radio of course.I think they were still sleeping when HiM was happening not to mention earlier lp's.

but srsly the whole lp is such a punky, rocky smasher so it's hard to chose THEE one.
