just out of interest, didnt hendrix record voodoo chile through a vox?
Oranges are amazing. Owen uses one live. It sounds pretty good! Hendrix probablly did record off an ac30 i mean those bloody stacks he had wouldnt be too good for recording off, very noisy

My main guitar is a Fender American Series Strat, about four years old - really, really good for an averagely priced new American Fender and I prefer it to my friend's standard Telecaster.

I've also got a homemade electric git butchered from two old 70s "Woolworths" guitars - cheap Japanese things made of plywood, like the one Pete Shelley from Buzzcocks used to play. It sounds *brilliant* - absolutely disgusting and the guitar is so flimsy that by whacking it against my belt it wangs out of tune by a semi-tone. Ace! Great for playing along to the Seymour demos with, especially "Tell Me Tell Me"!

I've also got a Simon and Patrick Model 6 acoustic - a lovely, lovely handbuilt Canadian folk guitar - and a De Armand Reissue of a Guild Starfire semi-acoustic bass which is really smooth and woody and sounds terrific with a compression pedal and a bit of fuzz.

Amp is an Orange valve combo thing I inherited from an old band member and bass amp is a truly appalling Peavey combo. Gotta get me a valve bass amp, thinking of a vintage Ampeg or Watkins.

Effects - Boss DS1 distortion, DD2 delay, TR2 tremolo, Boss compression/sustainer, Boss pedal tuner, EH Big Muff, Ken Multi Ultra Metal (horrible sounding - great!), Vox wah-wah.

I have a red fender stratocaster, it's a remake of a '72. I'm thinking of taking up classical guitar as well, does anyone here play classical?

I play a Fender Custom Esquire Telecaster. The pick up layout is unusual. Where most teles only have one, this has two. I might go and get that investigated.

I play a Fender Telecaster Aerodyne coz it's so damn playable and very attractive. Also a Tanglewood electro-acoustic and occasionally an old Squier Strat. I'm also in Love With My Proco RAT pedal.
