I was just wondering if this is swedish. It sounds very swedish anyway. in swedis Satan i Gatan means Satan in the street. is this a coincidence or is it supposed to be like that?

A friend of mine understood what it means:

replace 's'+'atan' by 'g'+'od' and do a similar thing for 'gatan' and you'll have the answer.

SATAN -> GOD :
S -> G
ATAN -> OD

So :

GATAN -> ??
G -> S
ATAN -> OD

The answer is "GOD I SOD" !

Nope. Aten/Atun/Atan was an Egyptian deity. Nowt to do with Mr. Coxon's works, as far as I can tell. However, Swedish language does, and saying Satan i gatan is not as far-fetched as you may think.

i just realised that if you change the order of the letters, you get 'ta angst, aina' which means 'take angst, aina (girl's name)' in norwegian! ta da! problem solved!
