I've been watching the three part drama based on the true stories of victims of grooming and sexual abuse by gangs of asian men in Rochdale. What they had to go through was totally shocking. The really sad thing is this is still going on in many towns and cities across the uk. Yet it gets very little if any reporting by the main stream media. Even the media attention following on from the tv drama the lefty liberals have done their best to ignore it. They continue to put out silly tweets and such like about Trump, yet something as serious as the grooming and sexual abuse of white teenage girls by muslim gangs is met with a deafening silence. Pathetic.

I'm not suggesting what happened in Rochdale has never happened anywhere else, but are these asian grooming gangs really that prevalent? I'm inclined to think the Mail and Express would be making more of a song and dance about it if they were.

I imagine there's a far greater incidence of foreign girls trafficked into our sex trade having a miserable time of it being exploited by our indigenous perv contingent. That's similarly getting less press than Pippa Middleton's arse.

Actually, I've a way of finding out... I'll get back to you.

Foggy, your response is exactly what I would have thought as well until I started to do some research. What you will find is frightening, I found that this type of grooming by Muslim men is happening on a daily basis mainly across the north of England but I also read about the case in Oxford. They are getting covered bt the local news but not by the national media. Right at the end of episode 3 of Three Girls it has a list of the places where it as happened and like I said it is frightening.

An example of a case in Oxford.

This is the Rotherham abuse

Another case

This is the coverage going on at the moment on by Tommy Robinson on Rebel Media. Just some of the videos

I messaged a couple of friends, one up north, a teacher / community worker. The other in Glasgow, she's involved with charities that support vulnerable / exploited women. Neither are remotely racist / islamophobic.

They both conceded there is a problem, and it's more prevalent in deprived areas.

Here's some of the blurb. Firstly from Glasgow:

Sorry just catching up! He kind of has a point. It's such a difficult topic to try and generalise - wee pockets of extreme grooming / trafficking / pimping / paedophilia are EVERYWHERE, thriving, and these guys are smart - right now there's a huge problem in a Glasgow neighbourhood, Govanhill - it is literally lawless, women being abused / exploited on a huge scale, and the police have known for many, many years. Frustrating as hell, I was sick as a dog watching Three Girls last night

It's not racist to state that statistics show a certain nationality is overwhelmingly raping / abusing women in certain areas. It's a fact - I'm so the opposite of racist, but can't deny that Asian men in Govanhill, generally, within a few certain streets, are abusing women. As horrible and uneasy I am in saying it, it's true.

And from Lancashire...

There is an element of race to it, of course there is, but no one wants to talk about it. They don't know how to say that this is a problem without being labelled a racist. As they pointed out in three Girls the majority of rapists are white men, but they didn't give statistics on the ethnicity of grooming gangs.

And I stick to my lefty liberal principles that more needs to be done to open up dialogue about taboo subjects between all people from different sections of society, so that stuff like this can be more openly challenged without it being hushed down. Or automatically giving fuel to the BNP types.

I was kind of hoping they'd say you were talking rubbish, but depressingly it seems that you're not. I'm not sure Tommy Robinson's going to achieve much, mind, except to stir things up and exacerbate divison / tension.

Foggy, thanks for posting the feedback that you got. The more you look into this the more you realise how widespread this is, yet it continues to go on. It really is absolutely sickening.

I have some reservations about Tommy Robinson. I wouldn't say that I always agree with him or his approach but he is trying to report this to a wider audience. What is your issue with him?

Steve,

I was unaware of this, but I did discover some guy name Stinston Hunter a while back on youtube. I kind of had mixed feelings on what he was doing, because it was dangerous. But it's good to raise awareness about this kind of horrible thing.

Anyway, I'm feeling like a very disillusioned leftist at the moment. It seems the left does not want to recognize the reasons why our country pushed people into voting for Trump. I'm not a fan of Trump or Clinton and did not vote, but I recognize when a reaction happens to something. The American left became so P.C. about everything that it pushed a lot of people away from voting for more of that.

Hi Britt, good to see you back on the forum.

I totally agree with you regarding the PC brigade. A lot of people are sick of it and are reacting against it. And you're right that is why a lot of people voted for Trump.

Rubin sums it up well

Re Tommy Robinson, I just find it hard to respect anyone who's had any association with the EDL.

I know he's tempered his view and now stands opposed to fanatical islamists rather than just the wider muslim population in general, but I still don't see him as a force for positive change in any way whatsoever.

I guess I'm just a big snowflakey libtard type at heart.

That's fair enough, but I think that everyone should be open minded enough to reevaluate their position on any topic. That for me is what we should all do. I try not to let the media or other political groups decide for me who I should listen to or what is acceptable or not. Robinson has never said anything racist that I know about but if you can show me he has then I will look at it.
