had a look through my pm's and read a correspondance we had just prior to him leaving the board.
Such a strange and melancholic thing.

I was in his recording studio once - when I drove a car all around Ireland and busted a tire doing it (I know how to DRIVE a car proper like)

Anyway - he sat me and my boo at the time on this couch in the studio behind his parents' house and I remember sweating because he us under these bright lights and he talked and talked about music

The old boo was a musician - played with the my morning jacket duded (I'm still friends with MMJ's bassist) anyway - Del loved him some original music.

Also his parents wouldn't stop feeding us - I never ate so much in a 24 hour period.

It was nice of them to let us crash for a night.

Me too Sad It was so strange heading up into the studio again last month, I was surprised I held it together (mostly). It was eerie but in a good way that the only thing that was exactly as it was last time we visited was the photo of him backstage with Graham digging for gold Laughing . I expect next time we pop by it will still be there.

I was in stitches when I re-read some of the long conversations we used to have on FB messenger the other day, he really was an incredibly witty, funny bloke. Our friendship started after I randomly posted "you smell" on his FB page after a trip to the pub - I guess it was the meeting of two incredibly mature, intellectual minds haha. He used to talk about his hopes and dreams after he recovered, but sadly none of it was to be. Sad
