Nope. Not today.

Last time was winter, 2014. My Jeep skidded across the lane on black-ice.

How about you?

Especially you, Fogg. Wink

Last night i dreamt i was fast biking with a dog on a leash and no brakes at all, driving hazardly avoiding police cars and so on. Laughing

Perhaps the last (real) time was last summer when i almost capzised a boat going way to hard upwind to make a bend.

Looks like I'm busted!

I'm trying to remember the last time something genuinely exciting happened. I'll come back when I've thought of something.

Here in Minneapolis we have an indoor amusement park: Nickelodeon Universe. That may not seem impressive, but in the dead of winter when the world is bleak, we can go to the Mall of America and ride roller coasters! There is always freshly made cotton candy and popcorn. They recently installed a zipline. I like the Log Chute and the Splat-O-Sphere. The Mall also boasts LEGO Land. Monster LEGO creations hang from the ceiling and tables are always occupied by tots crafting something.

WHEEEEEEEE!

I've had that experience...when i went to go round a roundabout... strange feeling when you are no longer in control and you are waiting for something to crash into you. fortunately i was fine and nothing did.

The level surface spinouts are a little frightening. I was driving from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City a few years ago, trying to get there for Christmas. There was a snowstorm in the Rockies. Those mountain roads don't always have protective railings. Even though the cars were moving very slowly, people were sliding everywhere. My car skidded a short distance once. I crawled the rest of the way until I was ut of the mountains.

We still have cowboys here. Texas. Ten gallon hats and leather vests.

I was in South Dakota once, heading for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. I pulled into a rest area and a Native man got out of his truck next to be. He had long black hair, down his back. He was wearing soft, chamois-colored buckskin pants with fringe and fringed leather boots in a darker tan.

That gave me quite a tingly feeling.

I've had two giant crumpets for my lunch. Not one, two!

You can't get more high-adrenaline than that.

...hmmmmm - i've had one of those as well;

driving from california to southern mexico

i was on my 5th day of driving
crossing the isthmus of tehuantepec
theres a few hills and curves
it was early 9 am or so
i'd only been driving an hour or maybe less

i was climbing a not so steep hill
and going around a rather large sweeping turn
there was a truck behind me nobody in front
a light rain was falling
i was feeling great cuz i was gonna get "home" that day

i was driving a toyota tacoma pickup
it has a 3 inch chassis lift
and big oversized tires
but they were far from new

so - i'm going about 45-50 mph
going through this sweeping turn
and i hit a big pothole - just didn't see it
and my rear end jumped out of that pothole
and took off across the road on me
i was sideways almost drifting quickly
to the other side of the road
i was trying my best to regain control
but i looked down the other side of the road
as i was approaching it
it was about a 200 foot drop down into some lush greenery
i was thinking
i'm gonna die now
when my rear wheel hit the oversized curb that defined the other side - well all the forces in play allowed my rear wheel to
contact the 12 inch curb and since the rear wheel was spinning in a forward direction - that impact- shot me back across the road and into sort of a ditch - i got out - looked at the front end to see how fkd up it was from impacting the hillside on the other sid of the ditch - body was fine - i was amazed -
the truck behind me pulled over and the guy got out
and he said something to me as he approched
can't remember what
but i just said "permite mi senor - embraza mi por favor "
that's my spanish for - please just let me hug you
and i did and i squirted a few tears

but yeah the front end underneath was bent and a rim was really bent up - go the rim pounded out back down the hill
the truck was actually driveable but constantly pulling to he right- because the suspension was bent - got that fixed a few daze later in puerto escondido

i'm lucky to have survived that one
